WELCOMEWelcome to Aspire Dance Studios... We are an exciting family friendly business, established since January 2008.We have a fully equipped purpose built dance studio in the Baylink Business Park, Kabi Circuit, Deception Bay (conveniently located close to North Lakes), with spacious NEW facilities!!Our studio offers dance classes to students with a highly qualified, registered, nurturing and understanding teacher, who has a strong passion and love of Dance and Teaching. Our aim is to develop students self-discipline, self-motivation, self-expression and appreciation of Dance in an encouraging and safe environment. All teachers working at Aspire hold a current Blue Card.

About Us

‘ASPIRE Dance Studios’ is an exciting business (established Jan 2008) which is operated by Studio Director 'Sarsha Pipia', where students are given the opportunity to learn dance in a safe and caring environment by an experienced teacher. STUDIO VENUELocation: Unit 7, 6-8 Kabi Cct, Deception Bay, QLDFacilities: NEW spacious fully equipped studio, with air-conditioned waiting room, office, kids toy area, mirrors, barres, toilet.Flooring: A fully inner sprung timber floor suitable for all classes. Parking: Easy parking available. ‘ASPIRE offers dance classes in various genres from 2 1/2yrs+, for the student looking for 'Fun & Fitness' or the 'Serious Dancer' wishing to further their skills. Students have the opportunity to participate in the Annual Concert, ATOD Examinations, Eisteddfods, Competitions & Performance Teams. All of which are not compulsory.We teach ‘Australian Teachers of Dancing’ (A.T.O.D. Ltd) syllabus for Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop & Contemporary. It is a highly accredited organisation which is now recognised not only in Australia but also overseas. CONCERTAn end of year concert is produced annually where students are offered to participate and perform the skills they have learnt throughout the year, and to gain performing and stage experience. We encourage all students to take part in this as it is a very enjoyable and memorable occasion for all involved. Each concert will be recorded and available for purchase on DVD. There is also an opportunity to purchase professional photographs of your child.EXAMINATIONS AND EISTEDDFODSATOD hold examinations throughout the year where students are given the opportunity to be assessed. Our main focus with syllabus work is developing student’s technique and enjoyment of dance. We have proudly had a 100% pass rate for ALL examination entrants to date. We do encourage students to participate in examinations as this gives students a goal to work towards each year. From this students will gain a sense of achievement when passing a level, which rewards them for the hard work, dedication and commitment they and the parents have put in. Examinations also help students to develop and maintain a high standard of technique within the studio and for themselves. Eisteddfod work, both group and solo help to give students stage experience and develop their enjoyment of entertaining and performing. However, these activities are optional and not compulsory.ATOD COMPETITIONS ATOD Competitions are held each year within QLD where individual students can enter a Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Demi Character or National Character Dance. Within the guidelines of the competition, students are to enter their examination routine which they have learnt in class. This competition is open to all students sitting for examinations, however it is not compulsory to take part in this activity.

Sarsha has been actively involved in DANCE for the past 32 years in Australia and overseas, as a student, a teacher and a professional dancer, all of which has included: training, studying, performing, competing, choreographing and teaching. She has much experience in the areas of Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary Dance, and has had highly successful results from students in both Examination and Eisteddfod work, some of whom have gone on further to develop their professional dance careers.

Some of Sarsha’s involvement in DANCE includes the following:

Sarsha has been operating her successful ‘Aspire Dance Studios’ business as Studio Director since Jan 2008.

Sarsha attended the ‘Anne Fraser School of Dance’ (Sunshine Coast – RAD & CSTD) as a child where she was highly successful in examinations and eisteddfods.

She was accepted into Queensland University of Technology (QUT), to study a Bachelor of Arts ‘DANCE’ commencing in 1994. She completed her 3yr degree in 1996 and did further study at university (QUT) of a Graduate Diploma in Education (secondary) majoring in ‘DANCE’ in 1997.

Sarsha is also a qualified QLD Secondary School Teacher.

Sarsha gained her A.T.O.D. Affiliate Teachers Membership in 1999

Sarsha was employed at ‘Andrea Dalton Dance Dynamics’ (ATOD – Maroochydore Sunshine Coast) for 5 years as a Dance Teacher.

Sarsha was selected to perform in the ‘World Dance Expo’ held in Hong Kong in 2000, representing ATOD.

Sarsha was employed at ‘Noosa Professional Dance Academy’ as a Tap (BBO) and Contemporary teacher for 6 years.

During High School, Sarsha was heavily involved in the complete process of organising, choreography, directing, teaching and running of her schools Rock Eisteddfods in 1991, 1992 & 1993, where each year the school successfully performed in the Finals. She has been employed to work at various State Schools in the running of Dance Workshops, Rock Eisteddfods, Musicals etc. She has also been involved in various on stage theatre productions throughout her dance career.

Sarsha has been involved in numerous dance activities throughout her dance career, too many to mention. Her love, passion and dedication to Dance are what she believes enhances her love of teaching and her desire to pass on her knowledge to others.

Classes - Fees FeesFees are charged at a set rate per Term. All Term fees are payable by ‘Term Accounts’ ONLY. ‘Pay as You Go’ classes are not permitted or offered. Please contact us regarding Fee charges. Great Family DISCOUNTS are offered to families starting at a total of 2+ classes:2 classes = 5% discount3 classes = 10% discount4+ classes = 15% discountDiscounted ‘Performance Packages’ are also offered to students wishing to be apart of our performance and competition team. Students must be enrolled in both Ballet and Jazz to be eligible to enroll in Performance Teams. Please contact us regarding Fee charges. PRIVATE LESSONS Private lessons are offered to students who wish to participate in items for Eisteddfods, Exams and Competitions.hese classes must be booked at the start of term for either a weekly or fortnightly basis to ensure a high standard of performance & technique. Performance Team members must be enrolled in both ballet and jazz/hip hop classes, in order to be part of the performing team, as to maintain a high standard of technique and versatility. Students who do not show a strong technical ability will not be permitted to join these groups. Students are expected to commit to these classes once enrolled and make every effort possible to attend all classes. Students must demonstrate a strong performance ability, a positive attitude towards their team-mates and competitors, a willingness to reach a high level of technique and to represent the studio in a respectful and courteous manner.
Jazz is a fun, energetic class which begins with a warm up session to increase flexibility then moves on to corner work (kicks, jumps, turns), then centre technique of jumps, turns, patterning and directions.
This class is designed for students ages 2 1/2 - 3yrs. It is a play based class which introduces students to ballet, tap and jazz. Students are taught to develop their use of imagination and creativity while learning the basics of dance technique.

Ballet is a disciplined art teaching control, co-ordination, balance, poise and confidence. Technique learnt in a ballet class is followed through in all other dance styles.
Musical, rhythmic beating, timing & technique are all acquired through the study of tap. Steps and combinations are taught at the barre in preparation for centre practice where stability and control are taught.
Hip Hop is a ‘street dance’ style, danced to Hip Hop music. It is a popular style of dance, which is enjoyed by many because of its fun, modern and energetic form.
Contemporary dances is a modern style with a strong technical ballet basis. It is an abstract and expressive form, which looks at experimenting with time, space, energy and balance.
